Who we are
Darrin has been working for more than 20 years in media and politics, with a strong background in various public policy areas including health, housing, community services and industrial relations. He served as Press Secretary to Prime Minister Julia Gillard and was Senior Canberra Press Secretary for the 2013 and 2016 Federal Election campaigns for the ALP. In recent times, Darrin was a senior adviser on the 2018 Braddon by-election campaign for the ALP and Campaign Director for both the 2018 Wentworth by-election and 2019 Federal Election for Independent Dr Kerryn Phelps. Watson Consultants also advised the 2019 Federal Election campaign for Warringah Independent Zali Steggall. Darrin was a long-term employee of both the ABC and Australian Associated Press and remains a commentator and occasional columnist for the ABC, Sky News and News Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Media Studies (Journalism) from Latrobe University.
Anthony is the strategist behind some of Australia’s most high-profile campaigns working across industry, charities, corporate and directly with political candidates.. He has wide experience across a range of sectors – working at the highest levels of government and business. He has demonstrated experience managing communications, issues, policy processes and government relations. He has helped many of Australia’s leading corporates and non-government organisations navigate the Australian media landscape. Some of his recent clients Cbus Superannuation fund, the World Wide Fund for Nature and JLT.
Kali Goldstone is an international lawyer with extensive experience in lobbying, advocacy and writing policy and legislation for nearly 20 years across Australia, the USA, Denmark, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kenya. She has consulted to governments, legal professionals, NGO’s, advocates and non-for-profit and private enterprise. Most recently she gave high level advice on policy, legislation and parliamentary process acting as the Senior Policy Adviser to Dr Kerryn Phelps. Kali drafted and negotiated the Medevac Legislation on behalf of Independent MPs and Senators, working closely with the refugee sector to deliver a rare win in Australia's national Parliament for asylum seekers and refugees. Her global experience has allowed her to relate and connect with people from all walks of life and establish trusted relationships with external stakeholders.
